Biography

Luke Juday serves as Director of Community Development for the City of Waynesboro, VA in the Shenandoah Valley. Before coming to the City, he worked as a demographer at UVA's Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, a transportation planner at the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, and a middle school teacher in Harrisonburg, VA. While working for the Cooper Center, he published a report - "The Changing Shape of American Cities" - which used spatial graphs of census data to demonstrate a shift in the way wealth is distributed in 21st century American cities. He is a Fulbright Scholar and graduate of UVA's MUEP program.
