The purpose of the committee is to allow me to collect detailed and timely student opinions and concerns as the course progresses, while assuring student anonymity. The assessment committee will act as intermediaries in the process of collecting and recording opinions. Students with concerns may approach committee members about any aspect of the course.
The committee will include three students, two undergraduates and one graduate. Students who are interested in being on the committee should come to the front of the room at the end of the first lecture. When the committee is formed, the names of the committee members will be posted on the course administration page.
I will regularly meet with the committee once a week, for fifteen to twenty minutes (longer if necessary).
Committee members who participate fully will receive a full score for participation in the course, and may receive additional credit as the task warrants at the end of the course.
