Join us at the Irving Theater in the CODE building for a timely talk by Matteo Lepore, the Mayor of Bologna, as he explores the critical role cities play in addressing the planetary challenges of the 21st century. From artificial intelligence and health to climate change, education, citizenship, and democracy, this event will dive into how Bologna serves as a model for municipalism in action. Mayor Lepore will share insights on how local governments can innovate and lead in creating sustainable, inclusive futures for all.

Matteo Lepore has been mayor of Bologna since 2021. Born in Bologna in 1980, he holds degrees in Political Science, International Relations, Urban Planning, and Cooperative Economics from the University of Bologna. Before becoming mayor, he served as a project manager in cultural enterprises and held leadership roles in urban development, international relations, and digital innovation for Bologna. Notably, he organized the "General States on Culture" in 2010 and led initiatives like the Urban Center and the PON Metro Program, focusing on civic engagement and urban regeneration.
