Biography
Adela Su, a graduate of the A-School (BS in Architecture), returned to Campbell Hall in 2008 as a Department Administrator. Now the School’s Administrative Services Coordinator and the Department Assistant for Architecture, Adela provides support to the Department Chair, Program Directors, faculty and students. Event planning is also a major responsibility, including lectures, symposia and workshops. She is the school’s coordinator of New Faculty Orientation at the beginning of each semester and of Final Reviews at the end of each semester.
A native of Savannah, GA, Adela came to Charlottesville to attend UVA as an undergraduate student. After spending many years working locally in real estate as a licensed broker’s assistant and transaction coordinator, she joined the staff at the School of Architecture in 2008. Adela enjoys being back “home” in the A-School and working in one of the University’s smaller schools where she can work closely with colleagues in each unit, and get to know many of the school’s exceptional students.
When she’s not working, you can probably find Adela doing something related to swing dancing; she is a nationally ranked amateur West Coast Swing competitor who travels the country attending dance competitions and locally, teaches dance and volunteers as a Board of Director of her swing dance club.
