Biography

As coordinator for UVA Programs in Venice and the Veneto, Ken helps Professor Bill Sherman (Director of Programs in Venice and the Veneto) develop new programming and a deeper institutional presence in the region. He also works with the school’s foundation and alumni relations teams on the programs’ 50th anniversary celebrations in 2025 and 2026.

Previously, Ken held administrative, communications and fundraising roles at UVA in the Provost Office, Arts & Sciences, University Advancement, College Foundation, and Darden School of Business. He also worked in public relations for the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

Ken is interested in fixing broken food systems, especially elevating the role of small family farms as a source of local food. He is the temporary steward of a 100-foot white ash tree, and his photo blog, LawnLife, captured life on the UVA Lawn—one picture a day—for a decade.
